About Games

The games here fall into a few types. Arcade and puzzle games like 2048, Snake, and Minesweeper run a simple game loop in the browser, responding to your keyboard or taps and updating the board each move. Skill tests such as the Typing Speed Test and Reaction Time Test measure your input precisely, timing keystrokes or clicks to report a clear score. Decision helpers and party games, including Yes or No and Would You Rather, draw a random prompt or outcome to settle a choice or spark conversation.

Take 2048. You slide numbered tiles in four directions, and whenever two tiles of the same value touch they merge into their sum, so two 2s become a 4. A new tile appears after each move, and the goal is to build a 2048 tile before the board fills up. The challenge is planning merges so the grid does not lock, which rewards a little forethought each turn.

These games run entirely in your browser for casual play. Scores and progress are not saved once you close or reload the page, so a high score lives only in the current session unless you note it down yourself. They load quickly, need no installation, and behave the same on desktop and mobile, which makes them easy to pick up for a short break.
