Education & Writing

26 free tools — no signup required.

The Education & Writing category collects tools for grading, writing analysis, citations, and science homework. Use the GPA Calculator to combine course grades into a grade point average, the Word Counter to track length against an assignment limit, or the APA Citation Tool to format a reference correctly. The set also covers grade and test-score calculators, syllable and reading-time analysis, keyword density, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard citation styles, plus chemistry helpers for pH, molarity, and stoichiometry. Each tool shows its working or formatted output, so students, teachers, and writers can check grades, polish text, and build accurate reference lists without memorising every style rule by hand.

About Education & Writing

Education and writing tools split into three jobs: computing grades, analysing text, and formatting references. Grade tools take weighted scores and combine them, converting letter grades to grade points for a GPA or weighting each component of a final mark. Text tools parse your writing to count words, sentences, and syllables, then derive metrics like reading time or readability. Citation tools take the details of a source, such as author, title, and year, and arrange them into the punctuation and order a style guide requires.

Take the GPA Calculator. Three courses earning an A (4.0) in 3 credits, a B (3.0) in 4 credits, and a B+ (3.3) in 3 credits give grade points of 12.0, 12.0, and 9.9. Dividing the total of 33.9 by 10 credits yields a GPA of 3.39. Weighting by credit hours is what stops a one-credit elective from swaying the average as much as a heavier core course.

Results are computed exactly from what you enter, but citation correctness depends on accurate source details and the right style edition, such as APA 7 or MLA 9. Always proofread generated references against your assignment's required style and confirm grade weightings match your syllabus. Keeping a running list of sources as you research makes the final bibliography faster to assemble and far easier to verify before submission.

Frequently asked questions

What are education and writing tools used for?
They calculate GPAs, grades, and test scores, analyse text for word count, syllables, and reading time, and format citations and bibliographies in APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard styles, plus solve common chemistry problems.
When should I double-check the output myself?
Always proofread generated citations against your assignment’s required style edition, and confirm grade weightings match your syllabus. The tools format and compute reliably, but accurate source details and the correct rubric are your responsibility.
How accurate are the citations and grades?
Grades are computed exactly from the scores and weights you enter. Citations follow published style rules, but correctness depends on entering accurate source details and selecting the right style version, such as APA 7.
Is my work stored anywhere?
No. Nothing is stored. Everything runs client-side in your browser, so the text, grades, and source details you enter stay on your device and never reach a server.
Do these tools cost anything?
No. Every education and writing tool is free with no signup, account, or payment. Open a tool, enter your details, and copy the result or formatted citation.
