About this dummy text generator

A dummy text generator produces randomised filler copy for use in design mockups, wireframes, and component prototypes. Instead of leaving empty boxes or typing repetitive placeholder words by hand, you fill layout frames with realistic-looking prose that carries no distracting meaning — letting reviewers focus on visual design, typography, and spacing rather than actual copy.

The tool assembles output from one of four themed word pools: Lorem (Latin), English common words, Hipster vocabulary, and Corporate jargon. When Paragraphs is selected, each paragraph is built from 4–8 sentences, with each sentence containing 6–14 randomly drawn words from the chosen pool. The first word is capitalised and a full stop is added at the end. When Sentences is selected, the tool produces individual sentences in the same format, joined into a single block.

As a worked example: selecting English theme, Paragraphs unit, and a count of 2 might produce two distinct blocks of 5–6 sentences each, drawn entirely from common English words — readable-looking text that fills space without conveying any real message. Selecting Corporate theme at 3 sentences could yield something like "Synergy leverage paradigm scalable holistic deliverable. Stakeholder bandwidth roadmap deep-dive agile pivot. Disrupt innovate ecosystem value-add core-competency best-practice." All generation runs locally in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.

Use this tool whenever you need neutral filler copy for UI prototypes, print layouts, or component demos.

FAQ

What is a dummy text generator used for?
A dummy text generator creates meaningless filler copy for design mockups, wireframes, and UI prototypes. It fills layout frames with realistic-looking text so reviewers can evaluate visual design without being distracted by real content.
What themes does this tool support?
The tool offers four word pools: Lorem (Latin-derived classic placeholder text), English (common English words), Hipster (artisan and lifestyle vocabulary), and Corporate (business jargon). Each produces a distinct flavour of filler suited to different design contexts.
What is the difference between the Paragraphs and Sentences units?
Paragraphs groups sentences into blocks of 4–8 sentences, separated by a blank line — useful for body-copy mockups. Sentences produces individual sentences joined into a single continuous block, better for testing shorter copy areas like captions or card text.
What happens if I enter a count outside the 1–30 range?
The tool shows an inline error message reading "Enter a number between 1 and 30" and does not generate output until a valid number is entered.
Does this tool store or transmit any of the generated text?
No. The dummy text generator runs entirely in your browser. No inputs or generated output are sent to any server.
Is this tool free to use?
Yes. The dummy text generator is completely free and requires no account or signup.
